Hi, my name is Danielle. I am a corporate communication and marketing professional from Brisbane, Australia. I have been in the industry since 2008 gaining experience within the areas of corporate affairs, media relations, brand management, financial marketing, product management and disclosure/ legislative communications.
HOW I HELP BUSINESSES AND BRANDS?
Currently working as a Communications Specialist at BUSSQ Super, I oversee the Fund’s strategic, disclosure and product communications. I take great pride in ensuring that our communications not only comply with regulations but also resonate with our target audience. Notable achievements include successfully managing critical updates to the Fund’s Product Disclosure Statements, as well as, managing all communication and events planning activities for BUSSQ’s Annual Members’ Meeting.
Other key responsibilities include assisting with the development of the Fund’s Retirement Income Strategy (RIS); managing the Significant Event Notice communications to members on key changes impacting their super; budget management; and developing various marketing materials (e.g. articles, flyers, blogs, website content, sales documents, brochures, signage, speeches, Q&As and emails).

Prior to BUSSQ Super, I was a Communications Manager at Bank of Queensland (BOQ). Working within the Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations team, it was my responsibility to manage and maximise the Bank’s group-wide internal communication channels and employee campaigns.
Before this role, I was a Communications Consultant at BT Financial Group (Westpac Group) focusing on internal communication activities across the business (e.g. Insurance and Investments divisions) as well as the CEO’s office. Responsibilities included organising employee events eg. town halls, employee offsites, producing internal newsletters, intranet stories/content, video production and more.
Prior to BT Financial Group, I worked at Market Savvy, an integrated marketing and communications company. In this Marketing and PR agency Brisbane position, I was required to coordinate and manage marketing and public relations campaigns for a range of clients from the B2B heavy industry, manufacturing, retail, health and aged care sectors. It also required developing and managing their social media marketing campaigns.
Earlier to Market Savvy, I worked in the television industry as a Publicity Coordinator at Mainstreet Media for FOXTEL. This media agency Brisbane role required generating media exposure for Australian subscription television provider FOXTEL in Queensland. Such channels managed included 111 Hits, Arena, Bio., Crime & Investigation, FOX8, FOX Classics, The Comedy Channel, The History Channel, Mainevent and W.
I am also the creator/ content producer for travel blogging Australia websites Stuff It Go Travelling (SIGT) and Zen Travel Life (ZTL) and enjoy building relationships with various stakeholders and social influencer marketing agencies.
