Best Places To Find The Latest Crypto News

Are you heading down the crypto rabbit hole and want to know the latest crypto news and what is happening in this fascinating, volatile and fast-moving 24/7 open market?

Going by the amount of retail and institutional investors jumping in recently to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum and altcoins on various top crypto exchanges in Australia and globally, highlights you’re not alone! 

I myself am one who is captivated by the crypto industry. It keeps me on my toes and in a constant spin as I try to learn more about it and which coins are going up, down and sideways, and why.

The challenge I’ve found is simply keeping up with what is going on in crypto as it’s non-stop. So, I’ve compiled a list of key sources across various mediums discovered.

CoinDesk

Regarded as the leader in crypto and blockchain news and information, CoinDesk is an independent publication with reporters all over the world who cover the key events and happenings in this evolving space. Their conversation and stories focus on cryptocurrency, digital finance, the future of money and Web 3.0. They aim to inform, educate, and connect the global investment community. The site also features analysis, prices, features and has an educational “learn” section with various 101 guides to help new crypto investors.

Cryptonews

Another heavy hitter in the digital currency news space is cryptonews. They offer original coverage of global blockchain and crypto news, provide opinion pieces, reviews, guides and aims to also introduce and educate the general public on successfully using these technologies now in the future.

Cointelegraph

Another key crypto media site is Cointelegraph. They provide unbiased news, in-depth analytics, comprehensive cryptocurrency price charts, insightful opinion pieces, as well as regular reports on the social transformation that digital currencies bring. Their news focus includes blockchain technology, crypto assets, and emerging fintech trends.

One of my favourites for daily crypto news is Crypto News Australia. This online publication has a strong readership and Australian-based audience, as they deliver unbiased, independent, and in-depth news focused on the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. They also have a very active online community presence especially on Twitter, providing news updates and key commentary throughout the day.

Top Crypto YouTube Channels

One of the best ways I’ve found to learn about crypto and keep up with the industry is to follow various YouTubers and hear their views.

Below are 10 of my top crypto YouTube Channels to check-out (in alphabetical order):

1. aantonop

For the best free, unbiased education videos and updates on all things Bitcoin and open blockchain is the YouTube channel aantonop run by Andreas M. Antonopoulos. Being a best selling author, speaker, educator and expert in this space, he has a knack for explaining things in an easy to understand way. He often does live sessions and Q&As on the latest news/events that are a must-watch. Andreas has over 220,000 subscribers on his channel.

2. Altcoin Daily

Run by brothers Aaron and Austin Arnold, Altcoin Daily provides videos on news, market analysis, education, perspective and opinion. They’re huge on Bitcoin fundamentals and like to take a “free-market approach” to their channel and in the crypto space. All videos produced are informative and entertaining. Currently, the guys have over 390,000 subscribers following their daily videos.

3. Altcoin Buzz

With over 210,000 subscribers, Altcoin Buzz is another top channel to know what’s happening across Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, and upcoming altcoins and projects happening in the cryptocurrency industry. They’re a community-led organisation, driven by people who are passionate about crypto and blockchain technology. The channel covers daily crypto news and offers weekly technical analysis on all of the top cryptocurrencies in the market.

4. Coin Bureau

One channel that offers high quality and easy to digest videos is Coin Bureau. Hosted by “Guy”, the channel has over 270,000 subscribers and focuses on all things crypto. In particular, he releases video reviews on your favourite crypto projects and exchanges. His style is very entertaining, informational and easy to understand – making it easy viewing.

5. Chico Crypto

Known for his quirky and entertaining crypto and altcoin videos, Chico Crypto is run by Tyler Swope who has been a die-hard crypto investor since 2013. With over 170,000 subscribers tuning in each day (except weekends), you’ll find videos covering key crypto events/news and reviews of top cryptocurrencies and projects.

6. Crypto Daily

For a channel that is sure to get you laughing is Crypto Daily. Run by Cameron, his videos cover mostly Bitcoin news and feature some hilarious memes and perfectly timed edits. His unique style is very entertaining and makes for easy watching, as illustrated by his 170,000 fans.

7. DataDash

Run by Founder & CEO of Digifox Finance, Nicolas Merten, DataDash is YouTube’s largest crypto channel. He releases a number of videos each week covering all things related to the crypto space and financial markets. It’s a must-follow channel and has over 370,000 subscribers to date.

8. Ivan on Tech

One channel I enjoy tuning into most days has to be Ivan on Tech . With over 350,000 subscribers, he produces the Ivan on Tech Good Morning Crypto show covering everything crypto and blockchain related. Ivan’s style is fast and entertaining as he discusses the latest Bitcoin news/ movements, altcoin winners, losers and upcommers and then finishes off with his Q&A session.

9. Nuggets News

Hosted by Australian, Alex Saunders, Nugget’s News on YouTube delivers unfiltered coverage of the latest developments in cryptocurrency, housing, precious metals, commodities, stocks and other financial markets. Broadcasting to over 100,000 viewers each week, he also has a podcast (on Spotify) that accompanies his channel to help people better understand and navigate the world of bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

10. The Moon

For a channel that focuses on Bitcoin news and Bitcoin price you should check out, The Moon. Each of the presenter’s videos provides some Bitcoin technical analysis, then jumps into covering the daily BTC and crypto news and finishes up with some general cryptocurrency analysis. With over 240,000 subscribers, The Moon is ideal for all levels of crypto knowledge including beginners.

Best Crypto Podcast Shows

Podcasts also provide an opportunity to keep up-to-date with the current affairs in crypto and learn more about this space at the same time.

Unchained and Unconfirmed

Hosted by Laura Shin (a former senior editor at Forbes), she interviews key people in the crypto and blockchain space. Her Unchained and Unconfirmed weekly podcast shows gain insights and analysis from the top minds in crypto. It also focuses on how blockchain technology and cryptocurrency will open up new opportunities and transform various industries including technology, financial services, health care and government. The Bad Crypto Podcast

Hosted by Travis Wright and Joel Comm, The Bad Crypto Podcast is one of the top shows focused on blockchain and cryptocurrency. Broadcasting since 2017, the guys like to discuss the world of Bitcoin, blockchain, altcoins, NFTs and ICOs in their podcast shows. It’s a great show for both crypto newbies and enthusiasts. You can listen to the show via various platforms (Google Play, Apple Play, Amazon Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher Radio) and on YouTube.

And, let’s not forget crypto social networks

We cannot have this post and leave out those conversational social media platforms such as Twitter, Telegram, Facebook and Reddit.

They are probably the best way to keep up with the latest crypto news due to their immediacy. It’s incredible the amount of information you can follow and source on these platforms relating to crypto – you’ll quickly see this industry is a very active, passionate and engaged community.
